Nicolas Badre
Bio
Dr. Nicolas Badre, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive expertise in clinical psychiatry, psychotherapy, and forensic psychiatry. He has published more than 60 scientific publications and is currently a faculty member at University of San Diego with appointments in the School of Law and the School of Leadership and Education. He has served as Lead Psychiatrist for the San Diego Jails, where he significantly improved mental health outcomes and established a highly effective jail-based competency restoration program. Currently, he maintains an active clinical practice, treating a diverse patient population, with a particular emphasis on psychotherapy. His forensic practice focuses primarily on court-ordered evaluations, complemented by private consultations, allowing him to address complex cases while fostering a dynamic training environment for his mentees.
