Mark Horowitz

Dr Mark Horowitz MD PhD is a Lecturer in Psychopharmacology at King’s College London, and a resident psychiatrist. He is lead author of the Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines, which underpin national British guidance on safely stopping psychiatric drugs and have been endorsed by medical professional bodies in the UK and Australia. His research, published in journals such as The Lancet Psychiatry and JAMA Psychiatry, has shaped guidance around the world on stopping psychiatric drugs, drawing on both his scientific expertise and personal experience of medication withdrawal.
